This exhibition showcases work by students from UL’s Formal & Conceptual Development class, blending traditional art materials and techniques with bold, unflinching commentary on pressing societal issues. From mental and physical health struggles to police violence and women’s rights, the featured artwork challenges the viewer with raw emotion and thought-provoking narratives, asking them to face these issues head on rather than shying away and turning to coping mechanisms and modern distractions. Each work confronts deeply personal and universally significant themes, creating an experience that is as visually captivating as it is emotionally stirring.
